I have been involved in the health and Fitness Industry for over 30 years both as an elite athlete and Personal Trainer. I have also mentored other high profile successful athletes and Trainers.

I provide “mindful” personal training for all my clients. I get to know my clients, so I can provide the best possible service to suit each person’s individual needs. Whether you are training for an event, weight loss, or just to feel better about yourself, let me train you in a more interesting and diverse way to get the results you want.

Everyone is different. Some people may want a tough and challenging workout; some people may be struggling through injuries and need specific rehabilitation training.

People trying to loose weight require specialized training depending on their present health, injuries and capabilities.

Others may not have trained for several years and need help getting back to some basic conditioning.

To be completely honest, I have struggled with a love/hate relationship with food and body image issues for around 16 years. I love that there is no such thing as a “one size fits all” training program. Helen adjusts your individual program to maximize your own results based on how you turn up to each and every session. If I’ve turned up to the gym after a bad day, unwell or not quite feeling myself, I haven’t even had to say anything. Helen is all over it as soon as you step foot in the gym and has adjusted my session accordingly on numerous occasions. “Train Smart” as Helen will say.

I remember starting out with Helen and not being able to complete 1 quality rep of certain exercises. However, I’ve recently had numerous ‘light bulb moments’ where I’ve excitedly announced to Helen that I’ve just completed multiple sets of numerous reps of an exercise I previously couldn’t do. To which Helen will smile and nod and without having to say as much, I know she knew I would get there along – even if I’d doubted myself.

Finally, having been obsessed for many years with being skinny rather than fit and healthy, I can honestly say I’m now feeling the healthiest, fittest and most emotionally stable that I’ve ever felt. I have always been the type of person that would go flat out at something for a few weeks then totally give up and stop. “After my fathers passing of cancer and watching what he went through it dawned on me that even though I enjoyed playing a lot of competitive sports, I wasn’t ever really conscious of my actual health and wellbeing. And just to add to the mix I was also a really heavy smoker. My father’s death had a huge impact on me. I didn’t want to go down that same path.
